Serving Styles

Majority of people start their game with backhand serve. On the other hand some people find it hard and uncomfortable using backhand serve instead forehand serve is used. Some might say forehand serve is for singles and backhand serve is for doubles. Actually backhand service can be used for both singles and doubles and for forehand service, it should only be used in singles. Forehand service is not suitable for doubles because the ball will be tapped downwards by the opposing side easily due to a high ball over the net. In my opinion, I prefer forehand service because its easy to use and I usually have trouble flicking the ball to the base if I use backhand serve. Kenneth Jonassen of Denmark uses forehand service as his serve style. On the other hand, many other players uses backhand services like Lin Dan, Lee Chong Wei, Bao Chun Lai and many other players.
